Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling:
*A sense of competence
*A sense of usefulness
*A sense of belonging
*A sense of power
Power Hour: Making Minutes Count helps Club members ages 6-12 be more successful in school by providing homework help and tutoring and encouraging members to become self-directed learners. The program kit includes a guidebook for homework helpers and tutors and charts for tracking and rewarding participants' progress. Currently, Charity Projects Entertainment Fund (CPEF)/Idol Gives Back is providing pass-through funding to 180 Clubs to expand or enhance their Power Hour program. "Generously funded by Charity Projects Entertainment Fund (CPEF)/America".
Youth of the Year is a great chance for members develop public speaking and writing skills as well as be recognized for their accomplishments throughout the community.
A club for members, 9-13 years old, created to develop a sense of community, leadership, and responsibility by electing officers, planning events, and organizing fund-raisers. Select members attend a Torch Club Conference every year.
A great program designed for use with all age groups at the club; the SMART Moves program helps members develop the self-esteem necessary to make decisions with positive outcomes. Topics discussed in the program include drug and alcohol awareness as well as health and safety precautions.
A club for members, 14-18 years old, created to develop a sense of community, leadership, and responsibility by electing officers, planning events, and organizing fund-raisers. Select members attend a Keystone Conference every year.
Ultimate Journey - A program designed to give the members and understanding about the environment, conservation, outdoor safety, and camping.
Sports Programs - The club has organized leagues for all ages in basketball, volleyball, and baseball. Deep East Texas is also very proud of its fine boxing program.
