The Boys and Girls Clubs of Deep East Texas is an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of disadvantaged youth throughout the Deep East Texas region. By offering a wide variety of programs and leadership opportunities, each child has the chance to reach their full potential as successful adults.

Organization History

In 1988 Dr. Jim DiNucci recognized that the at-risk children of Nacogdoches Texas desperately needed a Boys and Girls Club. By 1990, the first summer the club was in operation there were 30 members. Today the Nacogdoches club serves over one thousand members, has an average daily attendance of over 200, and is housed in a 1.5 million dollar, wholly owned Clubhouse! But that’s not all...this movement has spread from Nacogdoches throughout East Texas. Today there are 8 clubs in the Deep East Texas area, with clubs in Nacogdoches, Lufkin, Diboll, Jasper, Crockett, San Augustine, San Jacinto County, Polk County. Boys and Girls Clubs of Deep East Texas now serve over 5,000 children a year and have a budget at over one million dollars!
