The Boys & Girls Club of Crockett is A group of concerned citizens and community leaders came together in 1996 to discuss the needs of the young people in the area. There was a need for structured adult supervised activities that could meet the needs of the youth.
It took several years of planning and many hard-working individuals to get the club were you see it today. The Boys & Girls Club of Deep East Texas, Inc. and the local board of directors worked diligently to open a positive place for youth to go in 1996.
In 1999, the dream became a reality for the people of our great community. We found a place to call a club. On the glorious day of March 2, 2000, we opened a new permanent home for the Boys & Girls Club of Crockett.
The Bettye Knox George Center is located in the Davy Crockett Memorial Park. We currently serve approximately 50 youth and will serve more in the future. We urge everyone to come by and share the dedication and fine facility the community has for our youth. Learn how you can JOIN or VOLUNTEER today!
