Adult "Masters" Swim Team

United States Masters Swimming (USMS) is a national organization that provides organized workouts, competitions, clinics and workshops for adults aged 18 and over. Programs are open to all adult swimmers (fitness, triathlete, competitive, non-competitive) who are dedicated to improving their fitness through swimming.

The East Texas Masters swim team has been in existence since 2000. You can find most of its members practicing at 5:30 am Monday - Friday. All of its members train for a variety of reasons but have come together to motivate and push each other to achieve goals.

Although competition is optional we are invited to all Gulf Masters swim meets (Houston area), open water swims, and other events throughout the year. Membership to Gulf Swimming is a $40 fee for the year.

Not only is swimming one of the healthiest ways to stay fit and feel great but having a group of like-minded peers to push and encourage you can go a long way to helping anyone stay involved.

Anyone interested in joining or looking for more information on ETEX Masters swim team please call the pool or stop by one early morning to get to know some of our members.

Cost: Anyone with a $60 Lehmann Swim Center or $50 Lufkin Swim center membership card may join morning or evening practices or swim on their own schedule.
